2025 Memorial Day Black Powder Weekend
Saturday May 24th to Monday May 26th
Event Fees:
Members Black Powder Shoot Fee = $10
Members Cannon & Mortars Shoot Fee = $10 plus $5 per extra gun
Non-Member Black Powder Shoot Fee = $20
Plus $10 per night camping per person
or $25 per night per family per RV/camp spot

Hot showers available, bring your own soap and towel.
Pack it in pack it out. Haul out your own garbage. Help us keep the camp and shooting areas clean.
Black Powder:
Novelty target match starting Saturday 8:00 AM
Followed by rifle & pistol paper target matches Sunday
Steel silhouette trail walk Monday
Might squeeze in a black powder cartridge rifle match that usually occurs early Saturday afternoon
There will be extra black powder arms & equipment with willing instructors to assist any interested "pilgrims"

Cannon & Mortars:
Setup and practice Friday May 23th, 2 PM in the afternoon if desired
Saturday and Sunday May 24th and 25th, Shooting Starts at 10:00 AM
For both cannon and mortar; one match Saturday, a repeat match Sunday
Cannon contestants may fire both matches on same day if desired (20 shots)
Cannon at 200 yards; smooth bore and rifled categories, 10 shots, best score
Mortar Match; 10 shots, best score at 150 yard stake. Bucket pool for landing can in bucket
Humongous bragging rights will accompany the winner(s)
NOTE - NEW RULE REGARDING OPEN FLAMES:
In order to reduce the danger of accidental ignition of powder and wildfires, the use of open flames (i.e. torches, lighters, etc.) are no longer allowed. Participants must use linstocks, punk, friction primers, or other methods that do not employ an open flame. If you have a specific situation that cannot accommodate this, please contact the Shoot Leader/Chair.
