Camping is only for Ojai Valley Gun Club Members

Camping:

Ojai Valley Gun Club provides camping in the designated areas to facilitate target shooting and participating in shooting events at the Rose Valley Range. Recreational camping is not allowed. Hunting on site is not allowed.

Membership or Guest cards must be worn at all times.  Guests may camp only when hosting member is camping also.

Campfires are permitted when contained within provided metal rings (tubs) at the developed camp sites only when not restricted by US Forest Service.

Pressurized or bottled liquid fuel stoves, lanterns, or heating devices are permitted, provided such devices are used in areas that are barren or cleared of all overhead and surrounding flammable material within 3 feet of the device.

Campers must remove from site, take away with them, all trash and camping equipment. Nothing may be left on site no matter how important you think it might be to other campers.

Maximum stay is 10 days per visit and 21 days a year. RVs, trailers, campers, tents, and all camping equipment must leave site between each visit.

The Following are Always Prohibited:

United States Forest Service:

Under Ojai Valley Gun Club’s Special Use Permit and the Operating and Fire Plan the Club must abide by all Forest orders, rules and conditions as they relate to anything in the forest. Including, but not limited to, campfires, food cooking fires or fires of any sort. There are no exemptions or exceptions to any USFS local or forest wide requirements for Ojai Valley Gun Club, no matter what you might hear or want to believe. There are no exemptions or exceptions, period.

Smoking:

From the Ojai Valley Gun Club Operating and Fire Plan:

Smoking is only allowed in camping and eating areas. All Club personnel will carefully

monitor and enforce this regulation.

From the United States Forest Service:

Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the national forest except within an enclosed vehicle, building, or designated Campfire Use Site.

Drugs and Alcohol:

Use of illegal drugs is prohibited on site.

Use of marijuana is prohibited anywhere smoking tobacco is prohibited and in all public

areas per California State law.    

Consumption of alcohol is prohibited anywhere on the site except in designated

camping areas.

 

If found to have been using drugs or drinking alcohol before or while shooting you will

be expelled from the Club.
