This shoot is for bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles firing mid and high-power cartridges ( i.e., 223 Remington to 6.5 Creedmoor, etc.) at ranges from 440 to 630 yards.
This shoot will meet at the 200-yard firing line for check in and zero period. The shoot will be held on the 600-yard range and will follow all the range rules for both ranges.
The participants will need 40 rounds of ammunition for the match and whatever needed for the zeroing of your rifle beforehand. One 10 round Magazine is preferred but not required. Shooting bags, tri pods, bi pods, shooting “pillows”, range finders, kestrels and any other Precision Rifle Series style gear is encouraged.
There will be four stages, off various obstacles, with steel targets ranging from 440 to 630 yards. Shooters will have 180 seconds to complete the stage. Shooters will shoot up to 10 rounds per stage. The way the obstacles are used will vary and the order in which targets will be positioned and shot will vary.
Shooters may shoot from the standing, laying or kneeling position depending on their preference of how to use the obstacle and how it applies to the Course of Fire.
Exceptions for disabled or seniors regarding the Course of Fire can be made by the RSO.
Number of impacts will be first factor of one’s score with excess stage time as the second.
Participants will pick up their own brass after each stage and help with the clean-up of the obstacles and targets after the match.
When not on the firing line, participants will act as target spotters, scorers and provide other assistance as needed.
