Guests: $10 + $10 guest fee (valid all day when accompanied and supervised by a Club Member after event)
This shoot is for semi-auto rifles such as the AR-15 and Mini-14. The targets will include fixed plates, gongs, and pepper poppers at ranges from 50 yards to 100 yards.
The participant will need between 50 and 100 rounds of ammunition. The most popular being .223 FMJ. A belt with 4 magazine holders will be helpful. Each magazine may only be loaded with 10 rounds.
Shooting positions can be standing, through barriers, and sitting or kneeling. There are no misses so you must shoot until all targets are hit. Scoring is based on time.
Participants will set up the targets before the shoot and remove them after the shoot. Fired brass cases will be picked up between shooters and returned to shooter. When not on firing line, participants will act as target spotters, scoring counters, brass retrievers, and provide other assistance as needed.
The number of stages, targets, and shots can be varied at each shoot depending on range conditions and number of participants.
