Ojai Valley Gun Clubs Presents
The 53rd Annual Sespe Rendezvous
taking place from October 15th through the 20th, 2024
The Sespe Rendezvous is a celebration of the Pre-1840 Fur Trade Era. Period attire is encouraged,
but not required. Day visitors and speculators are welcome at no charge. Bring your own food.
Shooting events begin on Tuesday, October 15th at 8 A.M.
Shooting Events:
Adult Shooter's Fee = $40
Entry Includes:
Paper Trail Walk
Steel Silhouette Trail Walk
4X4 Indian Team Match (Friday 5 PM)
Additional Events:
Pistol & Revolver Matches, $5
Cartridge Match - Paper or Silhouette, $5
Junior Rifle, $5
Flintlock, $3
Seniors Match, $5
Daily Re-entry, $2
Cannons and Mortars
Other Events as Approved
Competition Rules:
Firearms:
Muzzle loading rifles and pistols using patched, round balls. Exception: Military-style guns may use conical bullets if they were designed for them.
Cap and ball revolvers are also acceptable.
Not allowed: Modern, sealed and in-line ignition systems.
Shooters must register for all events in which they wish to compete
General Information :
Camping:
First come-first served
Fee = $40 (Includes one shooter's fee)
For the benefit of the Club, payment of shooter's fees and camping fees are required of all attendees. This includes Club members.
There are 3 separate camping areas
Primitive
Tin/Teepee/Generator Equipped
Non-Generator Equipped Shelters
Bring your own firewood. Cutting or gathering any vegetation is prohibited by the United States Forest Service.
NOTE: FIRES MIGHT BE PROHIBITED
No vehicles in primitive area except to unload
Quiet time is maintained after midnight
Modern firearms not allowed in camp
NO SHOOTING SUNDAY
Other Amenities:
The facility has free hot showers (bring your own soap & towel)
Paved road all the way to the Range Gate
Other Events:
Other events may be added as the mood strikes us, or as we have enough interested parties to pull it off

Traders Row:
All traders of Period Merchandise are welcome. Trader set-up is available on Monday October 14th, 2024

Directions:
From Hwy 101 in Ventura take Hwy 33 Northbound, then about 14 miles from Ojai to Rose Valley Road, go east on Rose Valley Road for about 3.5 miles. The Gun Club will be on the left.
